My Favorite Baseball Joke Was Not Included In My Second Book
I wanted to include my favorite baseball joke as a sidebar to the Foul Play Pumpkin, but it is neither politically correct nor related to halloween. I will Post it here instead:
A junior psychologist from an insane asylum decides that it would be a good idea to plan a field trip to Tiger Stadium. For weeks in advance he trains all of his patients with a few simple commands. His boss sees the effort and progress and grants him and his patients a day pass.
At the end of the day, he returns dejected. “What happened?” his co-workers ask.
“It was going so well. As the national anthem started I gave the command “Up Nuts!” and they all stood up. When the anthem ended I said “Down Nuts!” and they all sat. When the Tigers hit a home run I yelled “Cheer Nuts!” and everyone cheered. The umpire made a bad call and I yelled “Boo Nuts!” It was going great.
Then at the seventh inning stretch it all went south. We started singing the song. You know…”Take me out to the ball game. Take me out to the crowd. Buy me some…”
